Keynote Speaker: Renato Beninatto

Instigative, controversial, thought-provoking and opinionated, Renato Beninatto is the co-author of “The General Theory of the Translation Company” and leads Nimdzi Insights, a think-tank and consulting company that focuses on growth strategies for localization leaders. A former executive in some of the leading companies in the industry, Renato is also the co-host of the Globally Speaking podcast.

Topic: The Future-Ready Professional

Panel: Veteran NYCT members will share their experiences during various periods of the NYCT history.

As a joint initiative of New York Circle of Translators and Mencius Society for the Arts, this symposium also marks the culmination of the Mencius (NEA/NYSCA supported) project Translating Silk and Bamboo: A New York Heritage in the Making.

A short performance of music and reading showcasing results of the 1st phase of the Mencius translation-in-performance project. This program is supported by New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
