Do you like poetry and fiction open mic nights? Now what if we add translation into the mix? Come join us for the NYCT’s 4th annual open mic night. Listen to your fellow translators read from their own translations of international literature. Bring your friends and family along – all are welcome!
Most importantly, let us know if you have something to read!
Members are invited to read from their own translations of poetry, fiction, or essays (whether published or works-in-progress). Translations may be into English or other languages. Length: 10-minute maximum.
Members are also welcome to read selections of their own poetry, fiction, or essays (especially if the topic is translation-related or international, but all topics are welcome!). Length: 10-minute maximum.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO READ:
E-mail board vice president Kate Deimling (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the following information:
-The English title of the work you plan to read
-The title of the work in its source language
-The length of time it will take to read
WHAT TO DO IF YOU JUST WANT TO SHOW UP AND ENJOY:
RSVP to Natalia Postrigan, NYCT Administrator (email@example.com)
THIS IS ALWAYS A VERY FESTIVE EVENT AND WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
